What you have to do

·
Have your employer pay a salary of at least £2,000 into Barclays within 30 days. A transfer from your own account does not count.
·
Have at least 3 active direct debits, already collecting on the account you switch from, so they move across with the switch.
·
Do all of it within 30 days.
Who can’t get it
·
You can’t already have a current account with Barclays.
·
You can’t have held one on 1 October 2026.
·
You can’t ever have had a switch bonus from Barclays.
When it pays
As soon as about 30 days after the switch if you meet the conditions straight away, and up to 2 months if you use the whole window.
How to start the switch
This one needs your salary. Your employer has to pay at least £2,000 into Barclays within 30 days, so only take it if you can move your pay. The £30 a month after that needs your salary there and 10 card payments each month, for five months.
1.
Download the Barclays app and open a sole Barclays Bank Account in it.
2.
In the app, start a full switch of the account you are leaving within 30 days of opening.
3.
Check the switch is carrying at least three active direct debits.
4.
Give your employer your new Barclays sort code and account number for your salary.
